About the school

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is an HMC school judged outstanding in every area by a recent BSO inspection, including quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare and academic outcomes. The school serves over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities across three locations and delivers the English National Curriculum together with a wide range of GCSEs, A levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 2026 BSB will open a new state-of-the-art campus at Maresme, initially enrolling students from Nursery to Year 6 and expanding to Year 13 by 2028. The role





We are seeking an EAL Teacher with additional responsibilities to join BSB Maresme as Language Centre Lead. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English language programmes, oversee the day-to-day operation of the Language Centre, assess language proficiency, design targeted interventions, monitor progress and work closely with families and colleagues. The role also supports new student admissions, contributes to programme development and helps drive the continued growth of the Language Centre.
Key responsibilities

Teaching and student support

Assess English language proficiency and individual learning needs
Deliver targeted EAL support for individuals and small groups
Track progress, maintain records and adapt programmes accordingly
Manage Language Centre student cases and collaborate with staff and parents
