Analyse requirements and perform technical design

Implement new platform capabilities

Uphold code standards and best practices through code reviews and refactoring

Mentor peers and junior teammates

Build solutions while transitioning a legacy platform to microservice architecture

Select design methodologies and perform trade-off analysis

Identify and remediate quality, performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and functionality issues

Design, code, unit test, and debug user stories

Provide technical support for existing production functionalities

Document new or updated functionality upon release

Participate in Agile processes and ceremonies

Continually improve coding and technical knowledge

Requirements

Extensive hands-on development experience

Strong foundation in OOP and Design Patterns, Clean code and SOLID principles

Strong working knowledge of Java 11, with at least 3 years of experience

Experience with Spring framework or Spring Boot and JavaScript

Demonstrable experience implementing microservices

Familiarity with microservice architecture and design patterns

Experience with relational databases, including MySQL/MariaDB

Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and DynamoDB

Ability to write complex queries

Experience in API-driven development





Experience in application performance tuning

Experience in secure coding

Experience in Java 17, Node.js, Groovy, AngularJS, React-Redux, or Vue.js would be an advantage

Background in Payroll, HR, or other financial domains would be an advantage

Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment would be an advantage
