Finance Manager

Our client is a leading international organization seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, operational excellence, and the continued development of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee and continuously improve core accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, treasury operations, and financial reporting.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory and group financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Supervise reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and journal entries.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes and provide insightful management reporting.

Governance, Compliance & Financial Control

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies.
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Monitor and enhance the effectiveness of financial controls and governance processes.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to cross-functional and transformation projects.

Internal Controls & Audit

- Strengthen and maintain a robust internal control framework.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve performance.





Team Leadership

- Lead, coach, and develop a finance team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective workload planning and performance management.
- Support talent development and succession planning initiatives.

Process Improvement & Transformation

- Drive automation and digitalization initiatives across finance processes.
- Support system enhancements and process optimization projects.
- Standardize procedures, controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and scalability.

Business Partnering

- Work closely with key corporate functions to support business objectives.
- Respond to ad hoc financial, accounting, and reporting queries from management and auditors.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance leadership roles.
- Prior experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in a complex corporate environment is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is highly valued.
