About the role
As an SG & Inspection Platform Lead, you will lead the strategic planning, resource management, and operational execution of the Steam Generator (SG) and Inspection platform within Westinghouse Field Services. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of inspection services across nuclear power plants worldwide by aligning workforce capabilities with business objectives and customer requirements. This position combines leadership, operational management, and talent development responsibilities in a highly specialized technical environment. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
You will report to the Westinghouse Field Services Spain Director and be located in Madrid, Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement resource planning strategies aligned with business growth objectives and customer demand.
- Manage workforce planning activities, including succession planning, personnel rotation, workforce aging considerations, and future capability needs.
- Define and execute recruitment strategies to ensure the availability of qualified technical resources for current and future projects.
- Allocate personnel effectively across projects and customer assignments while ensuring operational efficiency and timely service delivery.
- Oversee holiday and leave planning to maintain uninterrupted support for customer operations.
- Resolve resource allocation conflicts and support effective decision-making across project teams.
- Ensure completion and compliance of required training programs through regular monitoring and performance reviews.
- Guarantee adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks within nuclear environments.
- Review and approve timesheets while ensuring compliance with working time regulations and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and technical personnel within the assigned platform.
- Foster relationships with universities, training institutions, industry partners, and professional organizations to strengthen Westinghouse's talent pipeline and industry presence.
- Represent Westinghouse at industry events, conferences, and professional forums while supporting external engagement initiatives alongside other Platform Leads.
- Monitor and improve operational performance metrics, resource utilization, and overall platform effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services, inspection services, field services, or a comparable technical environment.
- Previous experience working within nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, inspection, or outage support activities.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, resource management,
and operational leadership.
- Experience leading technical teams, supervisors, and multidisciplinary field personnel.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and safety requirements within highly regulated industries.
- Experience managing project staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation in international environments.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- French language proficiency is highly desirable.
