UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer Employment Type: Full-time Aerospace and Defence We are partnering with a fast-growing European aerospace and defence technology company developing advanced unmanned aerial vehicles for mission-critical applications. They are looking for a UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer to take ownership of the integration between avionics, sensors, communications, power distribution, flight-control systems and wider aircraft subsystems. Integrate avionics, sensors, communications, propulsion, power distribution, flight controls and payload systems.
Define electrical connections, signal routing and power-distribution requirements. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, aerospace and software engineers to establish technical requirements and interface specifications. Support the physical assembly and integration of aircraft components and subsystems.
Create detailed work instructions for assembly, integration and testing activities. Document tooling requirements, safety precautions and quality checkpoints. Develop system-level test plans and validation procedures.
Conduct functional, integration and environmental testing. Analyse test results and recommend design improvements. Support ground and flight-testing campaigns for UAV platforms.
Maintain accurate system specifications, architecture documents, wiring diagrams, test reports and technical records.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional experience in UAV, aircraft or aerospace systems engineering. Practical knowledge of avionics, sensors, communications, electrical systems, signal routing and power distribution.
Experience integrating complex hardware and software subsystems. Understanding of UAV airframes, propulsion systems and flight-control architecture.
Experience supporting aircraft assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
Experience developing test plans and conducting system-level verification and validation. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Fluent
Spanish and English. Follow systems from initial architecture through assembly, validation and flight. Collaborate with international specialists across aerospace, avionics, software and defence.
