We are seeking an experienced project professional to join our Operations team in Spain, supporting international observational field studies and secondary data studies. We welcome application s from Senior Project Associates acting as Project Managers, Clinical Project Managers I, and Clinical Project Managers II. Appointment level will be determined according to relevant experience, demonstrated project leadership capability, and experience in observational research studies.
To apply, please send both a CV and a cover letter in English to quoting reference: OXON Epidemiology is a niche, late-phase international Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with Operations centred in our Madrid office, and home-based staff in Spain and the UK. Close involvement with world-class science (epidemiologists and statisticians, hybrid field-database studies, and an eminent Professor of Medical Statistics, who visits Madrid monthly.) Involvement in all aspects of field studies and secondary data studies, as well as pure operational areas: proposal, bid defence, protocol, SAP, eCRF development, PV, analyses, reports, manuscripts. Maintain relationships by meeting F2F with your team(s) (frequency of visits to the Madrid office determined by whether you live in or away from Madrid) in a friendly, learning, fun environment.
A horizontal company, with access to upper management. You will have the opportunity to stay close to the science and interact closely with epidemiologists, medics, statisticians, data managers, EDC software developers, PV, as well the Operations group, and be involved in innovative developments in observational research, such as hybrid field-database studies and pragmatic trials,
with leading academics in London, Oxford, and other EU countries. The successful candidate will have the chance to work across several non-interventional field and secondary data studies within numerous therapeutic indications.
As a Clinical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall execution of the project, managing cross-functional teams across the organization and acting as the principal liaison with the client to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and with the expected level of quality. Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to deliver observational field and secondary data studies. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, within scope, and to the required quality and compliance standards.
Develop, maintain, and oversee project plans, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and escalate issues when required. Bachelor's degree in health sciences,
life sciences or related discipline is required; master's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Experience as a Senior Project Associate, Project Manager, or equivalent project leadership role within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare research environment.
Experience in international observational research studies and project leadership will be considered in determining appointment level. Advanced computer skills including Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other PM software. Strong operational management with attention to detail.
