We're looking for a Senior Accounting Associate to join our fast-growing Accounting organization in our Barcelona offices. This person will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team as well as own and manage Accounting initiatives and projects in perpetuity. Manage monthly and quarterly lease accounting close activities, including preparation and posting of lease amortization journal entries for operating and finance leases under U.Prepare and review monthly and quarterly lease-related account reconciliations and roll-forwards.
Review new lease contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations to determine appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
Assist with the maintenance and administration of lease accounting software, including data inputs, system-generated calculations, reporting, and controls.
Support process improvements and enhancements to lease accounting workflows and reporting.
Manage fixed asset accounting activities, if assigned,



including preparing and maintaining fixed asset roll-forwards and supporting related financial statement disclosures, management reporting, and audit requests.
Support additional general ledger accounting areas as business needs evolve.
Collaborate effectively with various teams, subsidiaries, and external auditors to address queries and provide necessary information during audits.
Minimum 4 years' experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16
Minimum 4 years' experience in general ledger accounting, or similar
Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, or in a related specialization
GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
Prior experience working with Oracle will be an advantage
Excellent communications skills in English
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and other MS packages
