haddock is looking for a Product Manager with 3 + years of experience
Hybrid in Barcelona (at least two days per week at their office in Poblenou)
Vacation & perks : All AI tooling that you wish to experiment with, a subsidized Urban Sports Club membership, adaptable working hours, a bright modern office, PayFlow, and many more (see below)
haddock is the market leader solution for point of control in restaurants, handling all back-office vital operations like product management, inventories, purchases, price tracking, document conciliation, bank conciliation, paychecks, clocking in/out, P&L; reports, etc.
Not only they have a system of record that helps operate restaurants with control and clarity, but they are also the leaders in offering AI Agents, starting with Fina. They work 24/7 doing the heavy, tedious work that their customers don't have time to do well.
This is no AI hype. haddock's customers obtain visible value from their AI Agents, both in money and time saved. They are becoming strategic partners in the design of their businesses.
Their mission is to empower millions of restaurateurs to level up their business.
Their vision is to lead the market through innovation, strong relationships and by becoming the go-to tech partner for restaurant success.
haddock is backed by Y Combinator, the accelerator behind Airbnb and Twitch. they are growing fast with support from top-tier investors like JME, Decelera, Extension Fund, Wayra, and Zone2Boost.
Why are they hiring?
They are hiring because their ambitions are increasing: more customers, more AI automation, and a relentless focus on delivering value at scale.
At haddock, a PM is an uncertainty resolver who bridges the gap between complex AI technology and real-world restaurant needs. As they scale, they are looking for someone who has already lived the operational challenges, metrics, and business dynamics of a B2B SaaS. We need a creative PM with exceptional judgment to lead large initiatives independently and maintain a direct pulse on their customers.
If you’re excited by full ownership and building an AI-native product before they fully evolve from startup to scale-up, this is the right moment to join.
At haddock, they don't believe in "feature factories." As a PM here, you are the DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) for your area.
- You won’t be writing specs: Their Product Engineers own the technical specs and execution. You will focus on the "Why" and the "What." You’ll talk to customers, look at the data,
and collaborate with engineers to decide what not to build.
- Prototyping is your superpower: They favor action. You’ll spend a significant part of your time prototyping and validating ideas (think Peter Yang: idea in the morning, prototype at noon, customer validation by lunch).
- AI-native mindset: You don't just "add AI" to a feature; you rethink user flows assuming AI is the core engine. You are the brain that shapes the AI’s output with criteria and context.
- Customer Proximity: Many of their restaurants are based right here in Barcelona. You’ll be just a step away from the people using what you build.
About how they create product at haddock
- Shape the Team: They are currently a small, focused team (Ingrid, Gemma and Andrea). You will have the unique opportunity to help shape the Product organization at haddock from the ground up.
- Radical Simplicity: They favor a single way of doing things to avoid over-engineering. We prioritize simple solutions and proven patterns over unnecessary complexity.
- High Ownership: They work as DRIs. While engineers own the stability and execution, you own the discovery and the ultimate success of the initiative.
- Agile Execution: They apply a Lean model (prototype, launch, learn). A 3-day prototype in Figma, Magicpath, or NoCode tools delivers more value to us than a 3-week spec.
- Strategy & Vision: Align product discovery with business goals, making data-driven and user-centered decisions.
- Fast Iteration: Prioritize solutions into small, actionable releases. You will ideate, prototype, launch, and repeat until the problem is solved.
- Direct Customer Feedback: Join customer meetings and dive into their workflows to ensure they are moving the needle.
- AI Orchestration: Define how their AI agents interact with their systems, starting small and scaling based on real-world observation.
- Full Ownership: Responsible for the entire lifecycle of an initiative—from the first "Why" to monitoring its adoption and impact.
- Lead the Bar: Demand excellence in the user experience.
You will ensure they ship fast without compromising the core value of the product.
Example objectives for your first months:
- Group Vision Discovery: Lead the discovery for their "Restaurant Groups" vision to drive growth in Weekly Active Users (WAU).
- Kickstart Major Initiatives: Launch large-scale initiatives like "Orders" alongside engineering, proposing iterative solutions to solve complex problems fast.
- 3-5 years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS: You know what it takes to drive adoption, retain business customers, and build intuitive workflows for complex B2B systems.
- Hunger & Curiosity: A natural drive to learn and experiment with cutting-edge AI models and tools. You are an early adopter by nature.
- Great Judgment: The ability to discard most ideas and choose only what aligns strictly with company objectives.
- Customer Love: A genuine passion for understanding what users actually need (and why they need it).
- Proactivity: They expect bottom-up action. Don't wait for a roadmap; if the product needs a change to provide value, make it happen.
- Problem-solving: A mix of analytical/data skills and design/UX intuition. You care about the "How it looks" as much as the "How it performs."
They are building something ambitious. This is a chance to leave your mark on an industry ripe for transformation. You’ll join a team where you have a real seat at the table in defining their product culture.
Their best perk is their environment: they empower the entire organization to be 10x more productive through AI. What a time to be alive!
What they offer?
- Salary: A competitive salary, which will increase as you and haddock grow.
- Office: A bright, modern office in Poblenou, Barcelona.
- Hybrid Work: They spend at least 2 days per week at the office for high-bandwidth collaboration and trust-building. The other 3 days are for deep focus from home.
- AI Tooling: Access to all the AI tools you wish to experiment with.
- Playflow: Enjoy tax benefits when spending part of your salary.
Their Hiring Process
They move fast (usually wrapping up within a week):
- Intro call with Ingrid (Head of Product), 25 mins.
- Call with Pol Rosell (co-founder, CEO), 25 mins.
- Technical interview with Ingrid (1 hour).
Sounds like an opportunity? They highly value creativity, surprise, and proactivity. They will prioritize and respond to applications that include a personalized message or something that shows us your "hunger."
