Role Description The Senior Data Scientist will lead the design and implementation of data-driven approaches to evaluate and optimize the GROW Project’s programs and services. This part-time remote role involves collecting, cleaning, and modeling data to generate insights on entrepreneurial outcomes, financing effectiveness, and infrastructure impact.

The Senior Data

Scientist will develop and maintain analytical dashboards and reports for project leadership and stakeholders, ensuring findings are communicated clearly and used for decision-making. The role also includes collaborating with program teams to define key metrics, advising on data governance and quality standards, and mentoring staff on analytical methods and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in data science, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
- Proficiency with data tools such as Python or R, SQL,



and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in data engineering practices, including data cleaning, transformation, and management of large datasets.
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment, or development economics is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with social impact, gender-focused, or entrepreneurship programs, preferably in emerging markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field; PhD is an added advantage.
