In this role, you will lead pre-construction for Amazon’s data centers, aligning Real Estate, Design Engineering and Construction to shape standards, cost, and constructibility. You’ll guide multi-field teams from site selection through design development, ensuring timely decisions and solid due diligence. Your influence will drive global standardization and high-quality documentation, helping deliver scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure. This position offers meaningful impact at the core of AWS data center delivery.

• Review and input into global standards and data center template designs
• Independently support and manage complex, cross-functional data center projects from site selection, permitting and contract execution
• Maintain scope control, drive timely decisions, clear blockers, and escalate as needed
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Construction, Finance, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers and landlords to secure resources and drive milestones
• Negotiate with general contractors, evaluate bids/proposals, and participate in pricing reviews for scope inclusions/exclusions
• Evaluate due diligence, schedule tracking,



and address factors impacting project handover to Amazon stakeholders
• Uphold high standards, drive accountability, and coach/discipline as needed
• Represent AWS daily to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery and process improvements
• Lead negotiations with contractors and internal procurement, report construction/commercial metrics (schedule, cost, budget)
• Act as escalation point for feasibility and pre-development actions; own and track issues to resolution
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams and communicate across all levels of management

Responsabilidades
• 7+ years in Construction Site Management for large-scale industrial/infrastructure projects
• 7+ years End-to-End mission critical facilities (design, pre-construction, scheduling, construction, commissioning)
• Knowledge of civil, electrical and mechanical engineering principles
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Willingness to travel ~40%
• Experience negotiating with general contractors and evaluating bids/proposals with detailed accuracy
