The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing integral public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
ISGlobal is looking for a predoctoral researcher to work in TOLIFE, a 4-y project funded by Horizon Europe and aiming to validate an AI-based solution able to smartly process daily life patient-specific data captured by unobtrusive sensor technologies for optimized and personalized treatment,



prediction of exacerbations, assessment of health outcomes and improved quality of life in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The researcher will work on extracting physical activity features from data recorded using diverse sensors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extract physical activity data from multiple sensors.
- Perform statistical analysis of sensors parameters.
- Interpret and discuss the results with other TOLIFE members.
- Write scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Contribute as co-author to other TOLIFE publications.
- Present results in scientific conferences and meetings.
