Are you a skilled cook with solid experience in traditional spiced cuisine and specialty oven cooking? A bustling bar-restaurant in Palma is looking for three dedicated first cooks to join the kitchen team. If you have a true passion for culinary craftsmanship and love working in a dynamic environment on the island of Mallorca, this opportunity is for you.
In this role, you will take charge of preparing authentic dishes and managing key cooking stations. Your main responsibilities include:
- Preparing traditional recipes such as curries, rice dishes, flatbreads, and delicately spiced specialties.
- Organizing and setting up your kitchen station (mise en place), including ingredient prep, knife cuts, and base sauces before each service.
- Operating, heating, and regulating a vertical clay tandoor oven operating at high temperatures without digital controls.
- Cutting, cleaning, and marinating chicken, lamb, fish, and vegetables using yogurt-based traditional spice blends (tandoori masala).
- Skewer-cooking meats and seafood to maintain a juicy interior and a distinctive smoky exterior.




- Baking traditional flatbreads like naan and roti directly onto the hot clay walls of the oven.
- Ensuring consistent taste, texture, and aesthetic presentation across all plates.

What you bring to the team:
- A completed Higher Vocational Training Degree (Cicle Formatiu de Grau Superior in culinary arts or hospitality).
- At least 36 months of verifiable professional experience in a similar cook role.
- Proven skill and confidence working with traditional spice blends and high-heat clay ovens.
- Strong commitment to kitchen cleanliness, organization, and teamwork.

What is offered:
- A permanent, full-time contract (contrato fijo) starting on September 25, 2026.
- An attractive annual gross salary of 27,156.60 EUR, paid in 12 monthly installments of 2,263.05 EUR gross (prorated extra payments included).
