Your mission:
Are you interested in machine learning, natural language processing, and building scalable data solutions? Join our Innovation Team as a Data Scientist Intern and help improve how Datamaran analyzes corporate sustainability and financial reports.

This internship focuses on developing a transformer-based topic classification model to replace our current rule-based ontology system, enabling more accurate and scalable report analysis.

What You’ll Work On
- Labeling corporate report excerpts to build high-quality training datasets.- Fine-tuning transformer-based models (e.g., BERT, RoBERTa) for topic classification.- Running experiments and evaluating model performance against the current ontology system.- Exploring zero-shot and few-shot approaches to classify new topics.
- Documenting methodology, results, and recommendations for production integration.

Your profile:
- Enrollment in a Master’s or final-year Bachelor’s program in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science,



or a related field.- Strong Python skills and understanding of machine learning concepts.- Familiarity with evaluation metrics such as precision, recall, and F1 score.- Knowledge of dataset preparation and validation techniques.- Interest in natural language processing (NLP) and applied machine learning.
- Analytical mindset and ability to work independently on technical challenges.
