Underwriter in our Accident & Health team
in our office based in Barcelona.

This role will work closely with the Head of A&H; for Iberia and the rest of the team and will focus on supporting the continued development of our client and broker relationships, contributing to the profitable growth of the portfolio, and helping to achieve underwriting targets in line with our local, regional, and integral strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional at an early stage of their career who is looking to develop strong technical foundations while gaining valuable market exposure in an international environment.

Barcelona

What you’ll be doing:
- Support the underwriting and management of a portfolio of A&H; business,



including analysing underwriting information and assisting in the preparation of offers with appropriate terms and conditions in line with expected profitability.
- Review and assess submissions to support new business and renewal opportunities.
- Contribute to the growth and profitability of Sompo’s A&H; portfolio by supporting broker development activities and helping identify opportunities in the market.
- Analyse underwriting information and ensure appropriate terms and conditions are considered in line with the Sompo A&H; Underwriting Strategy.
- Support meetings and interactions with clients and brokers to help build relationships and contribute to the development of new and renewal business.
- Assist in maintaining a balanced and well-diversified book in terms of risk profile and segmentation.
