For further information on Enerpac Tool Group and its businesses, visit the Company's website at We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Web Developer to join our global digital team in Madrid.
This hybrid role will be based onsite at our Madrid location four days per week, with the option to work from home on Fridays. You will design, develop and maintain web applications, content-managed websites and eCommerce platforms that support customers, distributors and internal teams around the world. You will contribute to the continued development of our recently launched US eCommerce site and participate in the creation and migration of additional global websites, including sites across EMEA and APAC.
Working with modern Web Content Management Systems and eCommerce platforms, you will help deliver reliable functionality, accessible and responsive user experiences, and high-quality digital content. You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries and time zones,
so some flexibility may occasionally be required when urgent eCommerce or website issues arise. Develop, maintain and enhance web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Use REST and XML APIs to integrate external systems, back-end services and third-party applications. Implement and maintain Server-Side Extensions (SSEs) that consume back-end data and third-party APIs. Develop and maintain content-managed websites and eCommerce experiences using platforms such as Kibo Commerce, Optimizely and Oracle Commerce Cloud.
Support the creation and migration of global websites, ensuring content, functionality and integrations transition successfully between platforms. Manage source code and development activity using GitHub, Azure DevOps or comparable version-control platforms. Participate in DevOps and CI/CD practices, supporting automated build, testing and deployment processes while reducing merge conflicts and maintaining stable development and production environments.
Apply technical SEO and web-performance best practices to improve website speed, accessibility and discoverability. Maintain high standards through careful self-testing, code reviews and quality checks, including when dedicated QA support is unavailable. Design and develop responsive websites using libraries and frameworks such as Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS or Foundation.
Follow and promote coding standards and development best practices to support maintainable, secure and scalable applications. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using tools such as LogRocket, Wireshark, server logs, analytics and code-based monitoring. Support urgent eCommerce incidents when required, working with the wider team to restore services and minimise customer impact.
Proven web-development experience using React, Next.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience integrating applications through REST and XML APIs.
Experience working with modern Web Content Management Systems and eCommerce platforms. Knowledge of Kibo Commerce, Optimizely or Oracle Commerce Cloud would be beneficial.
Experience using responsive frameworks or libraries such as Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS or Foundation. NET frameworks is advantageous but not essential.
Experience implementing Server-Side Extensions or comparable server-side and real-time web technologies. Strong knowledge of version-control tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, including automated builds, testing, deployment and environment management. Understanding of technical SEO, website accessibility and web-performance optimisation. Ability to test, investigate and troubleshoot applications independently.
Strong personal project-management skills, including prioritisation, estimation, organisation and follow-through. Commitment to quality, continuous improvement and an inclusive team environment. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience.
At least four years of professional web-development experience.
Experience gained within an eCommerce team, digital agency, software business or similarly fast-moving digital environment would be valuable. Industrial or manufacturing-sector experience is not essential.
