AI Engineer – Generative AI & AzureAbout the roleWe are looking for an AI Engineer to join an international AI programme based in Barcelona .In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions within a Microsoft / Azure environment, with a strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and production-ready backend systems .You will work on scalable AI applications and APIs, integrating advanced AI capabilities into real production environments while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and maintainability .You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Frontend Developers to transform business requirements into robust AI solutions .If you enjoy building AI products with Azure, LLMs, RAG, APIs, and cloud-native services, this could be a great fit.What you’ll doDesign and develop scalable backend systems and APIs to support AI-powered solutionsBuild and optimise cloud-based AI applications within the Microsoft Azure ecosystemIntegrate advanced AI capabilities such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), speech-to-text, and other AI models into production environmentsWork with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, and Azure Key VaultContribute to the deployment and integration of AI models into reliable and scalable backend architecturesCollaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Frontend Developers to ensure seamless end-to-end integration of AI solutionsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems related to backend services and AI model deploymentsHelp ensure high availability, reliability, security,
