In this role you will be part of a technical team responsible for a large-scale z/OS mainframe network. You will protect host communications, configure subsystems, and support IBM mainframe networking, delivering reliable, secure data and IP connectivity. The position involves 24x7 responsibilities and close collaboration with technical and operations staff.

You will work on evolving network security, VTAM/OSAs, and IPsec/TLS controls to enable resilient enterprise processes. This role offers meaningful impact in a technology-driven environment.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Support IBM mainframe networks and transmissions infrastructure in a multi-functional team
- Provide 24x7 on-call coverage as part of a support rota
- Perform TCPIP Port Reserves (Add/Delete/Change) and VTAM updates
- Manage OSA Adapters in a complex mainframe environment
- Update VTAM PU/LU including Enterprise Extenders (EE)
- Implement AT-TLS rules and manage IPsec policies
- Trace, diagnose, and analyze errors; liaise with technical, applications, and operations teams
- Configure and maintain secure SNA and TCP/IP networks under z/OS




- Utilize mainframe network tools (NetMaster, NGM) and multi-session products (TUBES, Supersession)
- Oversee mainframe printing products and problem management from diagnosis to resolution

Responsabilidades

- Experience administering file transmission products such as Connect:Direct and FTP or strong user-level experience
- Knowledge of z/OS, z/OS utilities, and z/OS networking services
- Understanding of network security disciplines (IPSec, TLS/SSL, certificates) in relation to file transmission
- Experience with problem management and change management processes
- Ability to customize and manage secure SNA and TCP/IP xugodme networks under z/OS
- Knowledge of mainframe network management tools (NetMaster) and multi-session products (TUBES, Supersession)
- Experience with OSA-Express hardware
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication, teamwork, and negotiation abilities
- Familiarity with Cisco network solutions
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Willingness to stay current with new technologies and data protection regulations
- Experience as a z/OS Systems Specialist in the IT industry
