WHAT WOULD YOU NEED?
Must-have:
Solid experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) , ideally in pharma; experience with Körber PAS-X is a strong plus
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Good knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
Understanding of GxP standards and compliance in a regulated environment
Good knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies , ideally including Citrix
Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and their role in pharmaceutical manufacturing (data acquisition and control systems)
Strong team player , solution-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable in an international & intercultural environment
English: Advanced / Fluent
Nice to have
Location: Based in Barcelona (or willing to relocate)
3–5 years of professional experience in production processes with a focus on IT systems or engineering
Knowledge or first experience with MES platforms (especially Körber PAS-X 3.2 or newer )
Knowledge of Docker and/or RedHat OpenShift / Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with Docker-based deployments
Experience with Oracle database administration or integration in manufacturing IT systems
Experience working with Citrix environments
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be part of the extended workbench for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their technical environments,
ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of MES applications in a regulated pharma context.
Your responsibilities will include
Provide technical and process support to ensure smooth daily operations of the MES Application
Execute service requests from IT functions, business users, and key stakeholders
Drive continual improvement in MES technical activities and support processes
Test, document, implement, and communicate change requests related to MES Applications and their environments
Execute continual improvement activities to enhance support quality and efficiency
Operational responsibilities
Provide business hours coverage and support planned out-of-hours/weekend activities
Maintain and update application documentation
Coordinate testing activities and maintain test evidence
Ensure GxP compliance across operations and access processes
Coordinate application and infrastructure changes with relevant IT stakeholders and SMEs
Manage daily operations of MES Applications and Platforms
Analyze system performance, capacity, and scalability , and propose improvements
Perform security and access-related reviews (CIA: Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability)
Maintain configuration items and perform periodic reviews
Review user access, license consumption, and security controls
Technical operations
Ensure proper technical operations, including: Disaster Recovery tests
Backup reviews and restore checks
Patching and upgrading MES-related systems
Coordinate new demands with IT stakeholders and subject matter experts
Manage change requests end-to-end: testing, documentation, and communication
Provide complete support during audits , including on-site presence when formally requested
Ensure GxP standards and training prerequisites are always fulfilled
