Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group’s existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients’ total digital transformation through technology, design,



cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion’s interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

As a Senior AI Tech Architect at BCG Platinion, you will work with clients and BCG case teams to tackle complex technology challenges and translate business needs into practical architecture solutions. You will bring broad expertise across solution and cloud architecture, with the depth to shape architecture decisions from system integration and application design through cloud platforms, infrastructure, resilience, and security.

AI is an integral part of how you will approach this work. You will use hands-on experience with AI and GenAI to identify where these technologies can improve solutions, prototype and validate architecture choices, and guide teams as they move AI-enabled solutions toward production. You will combine this practical AI capability with strong architectural judgment rather than treating AI as a standalone technology layer.

- Own the architecture and technical delivery of defined project modules, from requirements through solution design and implementation guidance.

- Design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures spanning applications, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, data, and infrastructure.

- Assess clients’ technology landscapes and translate business requirements into clear architecture options, recommendations, and technical roadmaps.

- Design, prototype, and validate AI and GenAI solutions.

- Evaluate architecture trade-offs across cloud platforms, AI models, integration patterns, performance, security, resilience, cost, and regulatory requirements.





- Work hands-on with modern AI development tools to test concepts, accelerate technical delivery, and demonstrate practical approaches to client challenges.

What You'll Bring

- About 6 years of experience in technology architecture, solution design, cloud architecture, or technology consulting.

- Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic consulting environment, adapting quickly as priorities and client needs evolve.

- A curious and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, structure complex problems, and find practical ways forward.

- Confidence communicating technical topics clearly to different audiences and connecting technology choices to business needs.

- A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams, sharing expertise, and seeking different perspectives.

- A strong sense of ownership, taking responsibility for outcomes while working closely with others to deliver as one team.

- Enthusiasm for continuously learning and experimenting with new technologies, particularly as AI reshapes how technology solutions are designed and delivered.

Who You'll Work With

You’ll be part of BCG Platinion, working alongside technology architects, consultants, and BCG case teams to solve complex technology challenges for our clients. You’ll collaborate closely with client technology and business teams, bringing together perspectives across AI, solution architecture, cloud, applications, data, and infrastructure.

You’ll also work with and support colleagues across different levels of experience, sharing your technical expertise and helping teams turn architecture decisions into practical, implementable solutions.
