Remote within Spain (with occasional travel) Piper Maddox is exclusively supporting a integral BESS developer in the search for a Senior BESS Asset Manager to support the launch of its first utility-scale battery energy storage assets in Spain. 2GW+ of BESS projects across Spain , Youll take ownership of preparing the asset management function ahead of energisation, ensuring assets are fully compliant, registered and commercially ready to maximise performance from day one. Lead operational readiness for utility-scale BESS assets ahead of commercial operation.

Red Eléctrica (REE) Work with route-to-market providers and optimisers to maximise asset performance and revenue.



Monitor operational performance through SCADA/EMS platforms and coordinate corrective actions where required. Spanish electricity market developments , Support commissioning, software integration and handover to operations.

Review budgets, invoices and operational reporting across the Spanish portfolio. Red Eléctrica (REE) . Strong commercial understanding of the Spanish electricity market , BESS preferred, Solar or Wind also considered ).

Familiarity with SCADA, EMS or asset monitoring platforms. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across technical, commercial and regulatory teams.

Fluent

Spanish and English. Build and shape the Spanish asset management function from the ground up. Work across operations, commercial optimisation and energy markets.
