The Company

A well-established, privately owned European manufacturer of specialist pump and fluid-handling technology is looking to strengthen its commercial presence across the Iberian market.

With a long history in engineered industrial solutions and an international customer base, the company develops technically sophisticated pumping systems for demanding applications across industries including chemical processing, water and wastewater, energy and general industry.

The business combines the stability and technical expertise of an established manufacturer with a relatively lean structure, giving employees considerable autonomy and direct access to technical and commercial decision-makers.

The Role

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to take commercial responsibility for Central Spain, Andalucía and Southern Portugal.

This is a highly customer-facing role, with approximately 80% travel across the territory, focused on developing relationships with industrial customers and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities will include:

- Developing new business across the assigned territory
- Building and maintaining relationships with industrial customers and end users
- Identifying new applications and market opportunities
- Managing technical and commercial discussions from initial enquiry through to order
- Working closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customer-specific solutions
- Growing existing accounts while increasing the company's presence with new customers




- Providing market intelligence and contributing to the wider commercial strategy for Spain

The Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates with 3–5+ years of technical or industrial sales experience who are ready to take greater ownership of a territory.

Experience selling pumps, fluid handling or hydraulic equipment would be highly advantageous, although candidates from adjacent technical-industrial markets will also be considered.

You should have:

- A proven technical-commercial or B2B sales background
- Experience dealing directly with industrial customers
- The ability and motivation to develop new business and open doors
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand customer applications
- Fluent Spanish
- Professional working English
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory
- Portuguese language skills would be a strong advantage.

An engineering degree is useful but not essential where there is strong relevant technical-sales experience. Candidates currently working in Technical Sales, Inside Sales or Sales Engineering who are ready to progress into an Area Sales Manager position are also encouraged to apply.
