About the role
We are seeking a Public Relations Coordinator responsible for supporting and delivering guided tours, tastings, events, and other visitor experiences held at our wineries. The role contributes to promoting the winery and its brands, while helping to drive sales through the winery shops and maximise commercial performance in line with business objectives.
This person will also promote and support all Vinarchy activities related to Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence (XO). Working closely with their manager, they will be responsible for complying with and supporting the implementation of the Company's continuous improvement policies, processes and initiatives.
Please note that this role is contracted at 60% FTE (equivalent to three days per week), and regular weekend working will be required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Organise, coordinate and deliver guided tours, visitor experiences, events and wine tastings at the winery.
- Provide excellent customer service across winery retail sales, wine bar services and outdoor terrace areas.
- Manage stock control and ensure the timely replenishment of products, promotional materials and merchandise within the store.
- Coordinate bookings, schedules,
visitor experiences and services, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and commercial opportunities are maximised.
- Prepare quotations and proposals for customers and clients.
- Maintain accurate and systematic records within management systems, ensuring data is recorded consistently and reports are reliable.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the management systems used in the role, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Create, edit and update information relating to products, pricing, visitor experiences and promotional materials across company systems, sales platforms and digital or printed publications.
- Support the identification of opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, promotional activities and other initiatives that contribute to business growth.
- Participate in the monitoring and analysis of market trends within the wine, tourism and hospitality sectors, including benchmarking activities.
- Carry out administrative duties associated with the function, including reporting, data analysis and the preparation of business performance information.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience:
1 year minimum in similar or related role.
- Qualification in Tourism, Public Relations, Journalism, Oenology, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of wine and winemaking processes (oenology).
- At least one year's experience within a relevant industry, such as hospitality, tourism, retail or customer service.
- English language proficiency at C1 level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify sales opportunities and contribute to business objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI; experience with design software would be advantageous.
- French language proficiency at C1 level is desirable.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly within the hospitality, tourism or service sectors.
