Freelance Windows System Engineer

CDH Professionals are working with a well-established organisation in Antwerp who are looking to strengthen their infrastructure team with an experienced Windows System Engineer.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role, working across a large Windows environment and getting involved in both day-to-day operations and infrastructure projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing, supporting and improving the organisation's Windows infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and supporting Windows Server environments
- Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS
- Supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Managing Windows desktop environments
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
- Supporting patching, upgrades and migrations




- Monitoring system performance and availability
- Automating tasks using PowerShell
- Supporting infrastructure projects and improvements
- Maintaining technical documentation
- Providing 3rd-line infrastructure support

Your Experience

We're looking for a strong Windows Infrastructure professional with solid hands-on experience in:

- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- DNS / DHCP
- Microsoft 365
- Azure / Entra ID
- PowerShell
- VMware / virtualisation
- SCCM / MECM or Intune

Experience with Azure, Entra ID, Intune and automation would be highly advantageous.

The Person

You should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex technical issues and working closely with other infrastructure and IT teams.

Dutch and/or French would be advantageous.
