Head of Loan Management - Europe
Our client, a leading international financial institution, is seeking a Head of Loan Management - Europe to join its Madrid office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in commercial real estate lending, credit operations, and team leadership, looking to take on a strategic management role within a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate the Loan Management team.
- Ensure high-quality support to commercial teams while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee compliance with credit policies, risk frameworks, documentation standards, and operational processes.
- Monitor daily team activities, ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and achievement of performance objectives.
- Provide guidance and support on complex transactions, credit-related matters, and challenging operational situations.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, operational excellence projects,
and the adoption of new digital tools and systems.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Front Office, and other key departments to ensure smooth execution of lending operations.
- Significant experience within Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Finance or real estate lending.
- Proven track record of managing teams and leading projects in a financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of real estate financing markets and lending products across Europe.
- Fluent English.
- Additional European languages will be considered a plus.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interesada management and communication capabilities.
- Results-oriented leadership style with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
