A job opportunity has arisen for a Power Plant Stress Engineer within Airbus Defense & Space to be based on Getafe.
The main activities of a Stress Engineer are related with supporting design on delivering technical solutions for building, testing and delivering aircrafts, including but not limited to:
- Composite and metallic components sizing and justifications (use of Finite Element Models and Airbus D&S; tools for the Reserve Factor calculations) associated to current programs
- Communications and support to different departments to find solutions and propose improvements of the design
- Structural modifications management and justifications
- Support to manufacturing and assembly process
- Risk assessments justifications for in service events
It is a dynamic area, leading digital product innovation and LEAN Design, team working with an AGILE mindset, adding value within Design Office activities in production and in service.
Required Competences & Skills:
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics)
- A minimum of 1 years of professional experience as Stress Engineer on aircraft design activities
- Knowledge and experience in CATIA/3DX and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
- Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player
- Committed in their own development to learn new skills
- Fluent in Writing and Spoken English (B2 level or higher)
- Fluent in Writing and Spoken Spanish
Desired Competences & Skills
- Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures
- Knowledge of repairs and customer queries solving
