Reports to: Hotel General Manager & COO

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for the hotel to join our dynamic team and help leading the team at Gran Hotel Montesol.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the operations at the hotel and provides support to the General Manager.

Together with the General Manager, you direct and coordinate hotels activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations, and maximise full potential with a balanced focus on hotels mission, guests and employees satisfaction.

Born in Paris, Experimental Group is now operating in 6 countries: France, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Switzerland and Italy with wine bars, cocktails bars and hotels.

Gran Hotel Montesol is the first hotel in Ibiza from Experimental Group after the success of Experimental Beach since 2013 and his sister hotel in Menorca “Menorca Experimental”.

The hotel originally opened in 1933 with 33 rooms and an outstanding restaurant & lounge bar plus a rooftop, the Sabbaba Montesol.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational supervision
- Work closely and assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
- Delegate and assign duties to Managers and monitor performance to ensure adherence to group policies, standards and established operating procedures.
- Insure coordination between each hotel department
- Cover shifts in all departments if needed as scheduled by the General Manager.

2. Customer experience
- Accountable for customer experience, ensuring amazing customer service is being always delivered.
- Assist the GM with dealing with customer’s complaints.

3. HR supervision
- Responsible for conducting in-house training to employees and Managers in the hotel or a regular basis.
- Help communicate and coordinate all HR and operational needs
- Ensure health and safety legislation is being met

4. Reporting
- Responsible for monitoring maintenance progress and FF&E; (Furniture, Furnishings, and Equ
