The result of this activity (compliance matrix) may be required for qualification of the system in the frame of military acceptance or civil certification.
- Set up a development process including all disciplines in a structured process from concept to production to operation.

The choice of the development model is not restricted to a special model like waterfall or other methods.

Processes and activities must be chosen according to the systems needs.

A good understanding of the Vee-model for development with iteration loops and V&V; processes included is necessary.
- Execution, and Analyze for the overall functions of a complete system (aircraft, spacecraft,...).
