We are looking for a Senior Middleware Sybase Engineer in our infrastructure area.

Principal tasks
- Attending meetings and workshops with the client to understand requirements, challenges, and risks.
- Developing technology solution in cooperation with various technology teams using existing industry standards and best practices.
- Creating design and support documentation for the delivered services with adherence to clients processes and procedures.
- Resolve incidents, problems affecting the operationsavailability of highprofile production platforms.




- Influence standards methods and best practices for large scale enterprise systems
- Manage service availability and scalability through process tools and automation Perform postmortems and optimize incident response processes
- Guide systems engineers in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in depth full time Sybase administration experience with Replication.
- Minimum of 3 years in depth full time for another DB Product like Oracle, mySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB administration.
- Have good verbal communication skills English in both technical and nontechnical communications. German language is a plus.
- Experienced in automating DBAtasks with Ansible and Microservice architectures.
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills in complex HASystems.
- Advanced skills in Unix.
- Proficient at scripting with Shell, Perl, Ansible.
- Advanced knowledge in Gitlab, CICD.
