We are looking for an experienced

Category Buyer

to join an international project within the

Indirect Purchasing – External Services

area. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships and negotiations, and driving cost optimization, quality, service, and risk improvements.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute

sourcing and category strategies

for external service categories.
Lead supplier selection and evaluation processes through

RFI, RFQ and RFP

, including commercial and contract negotiations.
Manage

supplier relationships and performance

, identifying improvement, consolidation, and risk mitigation opportunities.
Drive

cost optimization and value creation initiatives

, including TCO analysis, savings tracking, and procurement KPIs.
Collaborate with

IT, Finance, HR, Operations, Legal and Quality

to translate business needs into effective procurement strategies.

Requirements
Minimum

5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or Category Management

,



ideally within the automotive or industrial sector.
Strong experience in

supplier negotiations, contract management, SRM and category strategy development

.
Experience in indirect service categories such as

IT & Telecommunications, Professional Services, HR, Facility Management, Logistics or Consulting Services

.
Proficiency in

SAP, Power BI and Microsoft 365

; experience with spend analysis and procurement digitalization is a plus.
Fluent English is required

; German is a plus.
Bachelors degree

in: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
