JOB MISSION
The main mission of the position is to ensure product availability through effective
demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing from manufacturers,
contributing to the achievement of the Company’s customer service standards,
inventory targets, and operational efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The position combines Demand Planning responsibilities within the Purchase,
Sales & Inventory (PSI) process with purchasing, supply management and
purchase order follow-up responsibilities, as follows:
Demand Planning (PSI)
Analyze historical sales, market trends, promotions and commercial activities
to prepare demand forecasts, monitoring the relevant KPIs to ensure forecast
accuracy, and prepare, maintain and update short-, medium- and long-term
forecasts.
Participate in the monthly PSI/S&OP; process, collaborating with Sales,
Marketing, Operations and Logistics teams to align forecasts with business
needs.
Monitor inventory levels and stock coverage, identifying risks and
opportunities and proposing actions to minimize stock-outs and excess
inventory.
Prepare planning and monitoring reports for Management.
Purchasing / Buyer
Manage purchase orders with domestic and international manufacturers endto-end, following up on agreed delivery dates to ensure compliance,
monitoring backlog and recovery actions, and updating the relevant
information in corporate systems.
Maintain regular communication with suppliers and manage supply,
production or transportation issues to ensure product availability.
Support supplier negotiation processes regarding quantities, lead times and
operational purchasing terms.
Coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics and Finance to ensure the proper flow
of supplies.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the position includes:
Define and analyze key Supply Chain KPIs and identify opportunities to
optimize inventory and processes.
Participate in continuous improvement, digitalization and process automation
projects.
Ensure the quality of master data relating to products, suppliers and planning
parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial
Engineering, Economics or a related field. Additional qualifications in Logistics
and Supply Chain Management would be an advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in similar positions performing the
responsibilities and tasks described above, particularly leading and
coordinating the PSI process and managing suppliers.
Languages: Spanish (native), English (advanced, at least B2+).
Technical Knowledge: MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel),
experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and planning tools, and
solid knowledge of PSI, S&OP; and Business Planning processes.
Skills and Competencies: Analytical skills, results orientation,
organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, ability to
prioritize, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
