Experteer Overview
As a founding backend engineer at ClickHouse, you will own end-to-end integrations that embed ClickHouse Cloud into customers’ trusted environments. You’ll shape the initial architecture, data flows, and production reliability, working across platforms you don’t control. You’ll collaborate with the engineering manager and a growing team while setting technical direction and defining the defaults others inherit. This role offers impact from day one—from auth and multi-tenant design to production observability and partner-driven deployments.

• Own end-to-end integration design, code, and production system.
• Define and own architecture including auth/identity, multi-tenancy, data movement, and production behavior.
• Operate the built system end-to-end including infrastructure, CI, deployment, and observability; be on-call early on.
• Work with external platforms you can’t modify, clearly delineating own risks.
• Collaborate with internal services to align interfaces and unblock progress, documenting decisions and directions.

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years building software,



with substantial data-heavy or integration-oriented experience
• Strong backend and systems instincts for deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement
• Experience with modern auth protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries
• Experience integrating with third-party platforms with incomplete docs or changes
• Comfort handling ambiguity, making timely decisions, and communicating clearly
• Collaborative mindset with other engineers and cross-team coordination
• Proficiency in backend work with JavaScript/TypeScript to assist when needed
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and transparency about usage
• Strong writing skills for design docs, PRs, and RFCs
