Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to manage the smooth delivery of ongoing Business-As-Usual (BAU) projects and take ownership of new initiatives within a complex telecommunications environment.

The idóneo candidate combines strong IT Project Management experience with technical knowledge of Telco BSS systems and has successfully delivered large IT projects involving multiple internal stakeholders, external suppliers and offshore partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and BAU projects within a telecommunications environment.
- Build, maintain and follow detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
- Coordinate stakeholders across IT, Business, Suppliers and external partners.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings according to established governance processes.
- Identify project risks, issues and dependencies and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
- Manage delivery involving multiple external vendors and offshore partners.
- Follow technical implementation through to production, including the testing phase.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to required quality standards.
- Track project budgets against approved financial limits.
- Support operational change management and drive continuous improvement plans.
- Monitor operational quality and coordinate actions required to address delivery issues.
- Maintain clear project status reporting and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders and senior management / Directors.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and help identify suitable technical solutions.

Mandatory Skills

IT Project Management – Mandatory





- 10+ years of professional experience with proven IT Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end IT project delivery.
- Strong project planning, risk management, budget control, delivery governance and stakeholder coordination.

Telecommunications Experience – Critical

- Proven IT Project Management experience within the Telecom sector.
- Previous hands-on exposure to IT roles/environments.
- Good understanding of IT operations.

Telco BSS Knowledge – Critical

Strong knowledge of Telco BSS, with technical expertise in at least one of the following:

- Telco Billing Systems
- Telco Order Management Systems
- System Integration
- APIs / Web Services
- System Connectivity
- Security / integration-related technologies

Multi-Vendor Delivery – Mandatory

- Proven experience managing IT delivery involving multiple external vendors / partners.
- Experience coordinating offshore delivery partners is important.
- Ability to manage large and technically complex project environments.

Business & Stakeholder Management – Mandatory

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate IT solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities across Business, IT, suppliers and senior management.
- Comfortable interacting directly with Directors / senior leadership.

Required Profile

- University degree.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong organization, autonomy and ownership.
- Excellent communication and coordination capabilities.
- Assertive approach to project delivery and issue resolution.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to drive multiple stakeholders toward agreed project outcomes.
