Septeo is a leading European software player with an international presence, recognized as one of the top five providers of vertical‐specific software in France. The M&A; Manager will originate and execute acquisition opportunities aligned with Septeo's corporate strategy, supporting the Group's ambitious growth plan within an LBO environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Division Leaders and Business Unit Leaders in defining their M&A; strategy while acting as a trusted partner to the Board, ensuring the execution of value‐accretive transactions that support Septeo's long‐term objectives. Identify acquisition opportunities across Spain, Portugal and, where relevant, LATAM and other European countries. Develop long‐term relationships with founders, shareholders, advisors and potential acquisition targets through proactive outreach, including cold calling and face‐to‐face meetings.
Analyse market segments and identify strategic acquisition opportunities aligned with the Group's objectives. Review audited financial statements, management accounts and other preliminary information. Evaluate acquisition targets based on their business model, financial performance and future outlook.
Prepare investment recommendations for the Board of Directors. Advise throughout the transaction process and lead negotiations with target companies, shareholders and advisors.
Coordinate
Financial, Legal, Tax and Commercial Due Diligence processes together with external advisors. Coordinate the work of legal counsels, auditors and other advisors involved in each transaction.
Prepare Share Purchase
Agreements (SPAs),
Representations & Warranties together with legal counsels and participate in final negotiations. Present investment recommendations, Due Diligence findings and integration plans to the Board of Directors. Perform peer reviews and support other members of the M&A; team when required. Monitor post‐closing obligations resulting from acquisitions, including earn‐out mechanisms. Follow up on acquisition business plans and Value Creation Plans (VCP) after closing.

Successfully execute acquisitions aligned with Septeo's strategic objectives. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities. Develop trusted relationships across the software industry.
Maintain accurate tracking of acquisition targets, including company information and interaction history. Ensure continuous follow‐up of all acquisition opportunities in close collaboration with business leaders. Deliver high‐quality investment recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board.
Execute all M&A; processes according to the Group's governance and methodology. M&A; Advisory ~ Investment Banking ~ Private Equity ~ Corporate Development Proven exposure to the full M&A; lifecycle, including: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent. Accounting Corporate Finance Business Valuation Native Spanish.
Fluent
