Total Number of Openings: 1 Chevron is accepting online applications for the position through September 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (The SCM Business Analyst supports the Facilities & Construction (F&C;) Supply Chain Management team by providing business analytics, category management support, sourcing intelligence, spend analysis, project tracking, supplier performance monitoring, and commercial insights that enable safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of engineering, construction, infrastructure, maintenance, and capital project services. The position works closely with Category Managers, Contract Advisors, Procurement Specialists, Project Engineers, Finance, and Operations personnel to identify cost reduction opportunities, support strategic sourcing initiatives, monitor contract performance, and facilitate data-driven decision-making across the F&C; portfolio. The role supports major company initiatives including engineering services, construction contracts, road construction, facilities development, pipeline projects, production facilities, tank construction, and other infrastructure investments.
Business
Planning & Analytics Develop and maintain spend analytics, category dashboards, KPI reports, and sourcing performance metrics. Analyze contract utilization, supplier performance, cost trends, and market intelligence. Support annual business planning, contracting plans, contracting forecasts, and workload assessments.
Generate management reports and executive presentations for SCM leadership and business partners. Perform market research for construction, engineering, equipment, and industrial services. Sourcing & Commercial Support Support competitive bidding processes by preparing commercial analyses and evaluation scorecards.
Participate in supplier prequalification and supplier performance reviews. Analyze supplier proposals,
pricing models, and commercial terms. Support negotiation preparations through benchmarking and cost analysis.
Interface with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, HSE, Finance, and Legal teams. Facilitate alignment between business requirements and SCM strategies. Maintain SCM databases, dashboards, SharePoint repositories, and reporting tools.
Support data quality initiatives and SCM process improvements.
Leverage
Power BI, Excel, Power Apps, SAP S/4HANA, GEP SMART, and other corporate systems. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering (preferred), Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related discipline. ~2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Contracts Administration, Category Management, Project Controls, Business Analytics, or related fields. ~ Experience supporting construction, oil & gas, industrial, infrastructure, or similar sectors. ~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and financial modeling. ~ Strong analytical skills in spend analysis, cost benchmarking, commercial analysis, and reporting. ~ Strong business writing and presentation skills. ~ Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Experience supporting engineering services contracts, construction projects, capital projects, oil & gas operations, or strategic sourcing initiatives.
Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SAP S/4HANA, and/or GEP SMART. Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools, or project scheduling software. Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, or Project Management are a plus.
