You will help and craft services and facilities in over 200 locations in more than 60 international airports across the world. Work closely with the Country General Manager – Spain, Director HR EMEA, HQHR and the Spain Leadership Team to provide senior human resources leadership and support across organisational development, employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management, training, safety and other People matters affecting the business. The Senior HR Manager – Spain is responsible for ensuring that Spain business needs, Spanish labour requirements and operational realities are appropriately represented in Regional and HQ decision-making, while implementing Group HR policies, standards and initiatives in Spain.

The Senior HR Manager will have a Spain-wide mandate from day one, with an initial priority to stabilise the Madrid operation while building the People organisation required to support future growth across Spain. The role will act as a senior business partner to the Country GM and Spain Leadership Team, providing both strategic and hands-on HR leadership.

The Country General

Manager – Spain sets the role's business priorities and evaluates its contribution to Spain's operational performance, organisational development and business growth. The EMEA HR Director provides functional HR governance, policies, professional standards, HR expertise and alignment with the Group People strategy.

Workforce

Planning. Act as the strategic HR lead for Spain, developing programmes and action plans that support country business priorities and address issues identified by the Country management team. Lead and advise the Spain HR team on local recruiting strategies as hiring needs are identified, ensuring timely and scalable recruitment support for the Spanish operations.

Lead workforce planning and labour-cost management across Spain, including analysis and control of absenteeism, overtime, temporary labour, staffing levels and productivity. Lead recruitment and workforce mobilisation activities required to support business growth and future openings across Spain. Lead and coordinate local salary and benefits reviews and provide recommendations that reflect Spanish market conditions and business needs, within the Group total compensation philosophy, job-levelling framework and applicable approval governance.





Review and recommend Spain benefits and allowances in alignment with the Group total compensation philosophy, local market requirements and applicable compliance standards.

Implement

Group and HQ HR initiatives, policies and standards in Spain, while identifying where local adaptation is required to remain legally compliant, operationally effective and relevant to the Spanish business. Work closely with the Spain HR team and key business stakeholders to address current needs, build strong partnering relationships and support effective collaboration across the Spanish organisation. Act as a trusted senior HR business partner to the Country GM and participate as a permanent member of the Spain Leadership Team, constructively challenging the business and proposing practical people solutions.

Maintain strong country-specific expertise to support sound decision-making, translating Group HR strategy into actionable plans for Spain while ensuring that Spanish operational, organisational and employment requirements are appropriately represented in Regional and HQ decision-making. Develop methods, solutions and initiatives that improve organisational and workforce performance across Spain and support country objectives, business results and Group commitments. Reporting & Analytics Ability to establish accuracy and completeness of staff cost, payroll deliverables and global recruitment tracker.

Implement HR processes and solutions that respond to internal and external business needs and deliver effective support to the Spanish operations, consulting EMEA HR and HQHR where required by functional governance or reserved matters. Ensure timely and accurate completion of Spanish regulatory, EMEA and HQ HR reporting requirements, maintaining appropriate documentation and audit trails for policy, procedure and process changes. Develop and maintain a reliable Spain People Dashboard covering key workforce and HR metrics, including headcount, labour costs, absenteeism, overtime, temporary labour, turnover and recruitment.

Compliance, Integrity & Ethics Ensure compliance, regulatory, and legal responsibilities are followed. Ensure the business needs are met in accordance with regulations, both local labor law and company policies Assist as intermediary, when needed, with local labour counsel. Review new-hire, replacement and position-change documentation and classification, ensuring compensation alignment,



internal equity and compliance with Group job-design and levelling frameworks and applicable approval governance.

Provide strong expertise in Spanish labour law and Employee Relations, including direct management of complex labour matters, works councils, trade unions and collective employee relations, with support from external counsel where required. direct escalation to the Country GM and EMEA HR Director; and participation in workforce planning, organisational design and labour-budget decisions affecting Spain.

Business

Support, Training & Guidance. Provide training, tools and resources to support and strengthen Spain HR operations and management capability. Consistently cascade and align HR and business objectives with employees and management across Spain.

Manage employee relations, working closely with the Spain HR team and country leadership, providing guidance and assistance with policy interpretation and local employment requirements. Support performance systems including ad hoc performance support and training interventions as needed Drive leadership development, performance management and succession planning to strengthen leadership capability and support future growth across Spain. follow through on commitments and focus on the priorities with the greatest impact on business-partnering success with key stakeholders across Spain, particularly the Country GM, Spain Leadership Team and Heads of Department. Ensure an appropriate HR support model is in place so that payroll, contracts and routine transactional HR administration do not prevent the role from focusing on senior HR leadership, workforce management, Employee Relations, organisational development and Spain growth.

To perform other duties as required by the management team Degree holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines Minimum 10 years' relevant HR experience gained in a sizable and fast-paced organisation, including several years in a senior HR leadership or HR business partnering capacity; Ability to partner, influence and work effectively with all levels of management across Spain, EMEA and Headquarters. Strong data literacy capabilities for data interpretation, collection, and creation Strong people advocacy and networking skill and ability in building multi-cultural relationships. Proficient in MS Office applications.

Fluent

Spanish and strong professional English, both written and spoken. Proven senior HR leadership experience, with credibility to operate as a strategic business partner to a Country GM and senior leadership team. Strong hands-on knowledge of Spanish labour law, Employee Relations, works councils and trade unions. Strong operational and workforce-planning experience, ideally within a labour-intensive, 24/7 environment.
