Our client is a growing logistics company based in East Flanders and is currently expanding its transport planning team. Due to a period of significant growth, they are looking for two Freelance Transport Planners to strengthen their operations.

The two positions will have different focuses, making this an opportunity for both an experienced transport planner and a more junior logistics professional.

1. Dynamic Transport Planner – Experienced Profile

We are looking for a Transport Planner with approximately 3–5 years of experience who is comfortable working in a fast-moving transport environment.

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transport activities while responding quickly to changes throughout the day. This is a dynamic role where priorities can shift regularly, so the ability to remain organised and make decisions under pressure is essential.

Key responsibilities:

- Plan and coordinate daily transport activities
- React to changes, delays and last-minute requests
- Optimise transport planning and available capacity
- Coordinate closely with drivers and operational teams
- Monitor transport execution and resolve issues
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure changes are reflected accurately in the planning systems
- Contribute to improving transport processes during a period of company growth

Ideal profile:





- Around 3–5 years of experience in transport planning or a similar logistics role
- Strong understanding of transport operations
- Comfortable dealing with changing priorities and unexpected issues
- Organised, proactive and solution-oriented
- Experience with Transporeon and/or TAS is highly advantageous
- Good communication skills
- English-speaking

2. Transport Planner – Junior / Fixed Planning Profile

The second position is suited to a more junior logistics or transport planning profile who is looking for a hands-on operational role.

The focus will be more structured and consistent, with responsibility for the daily coordination of drivers and fleet activities, particularly during the morning.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the daily transport planning process
- Coordinate and communicate with drivers in the morning
- Monitor driver schedules and transport activities
- Follow up on the fleet and identify operational issues
- Make adjustments where required
- Maintain accurate planning information
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support the wider transport team during a period of continued growth

Idóneo profile:

- Initial experience in transport, logistics, fleet management or transport planning
- Junior candidates with the right mindset are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable communicating with drivers and operational colleagues
- Organised and able to work independently
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Experience with Transporeon and/or TAS is a plus
- English-speaking
