Role Overview:

You bridge business requirements, regulatory constraints, and technical implementation. You analyse notarial workflows, model domain behavior, and deliver specifications that guide frontend, backend, and integration teams. You work autonomously within the established analysis framework, with guidance from senior analysts for complex cross-domain topics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Domain Modelling — Model formality behavior against standard contracts, shared base types and state machines.
2. Requirements Analysis — Elicit, analyse and structure functional requirements for notarial formalities.
3. Specification Delivery — Produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, story maps and functional domain contracts.
4. API & Data — Define and manage OpenAPI/AsyncAPI specifications; document data flows, edge cases and compliance-relevant behavior.
5. Stakeholder Engagement — Validate requirements with business experts (Dutch/English or French/English) and communicate domain concepts to technical teams in English.
6. Delivery Support — Refine backlog, support developers/testers, clarify acceptance criteria, and validate delivered functionality.

Required Qualifications:

1.



3–5 years as functional/business analyst in software delivery
2. Strong command of user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules
3. Comfortable with REST API contracts and data models
4. Proven experience translating regulated/legal/financial processes into specifications
5. Languages: Dutch + English or French + English (hard requirement)
6. Experience in multi-stakeholder environments
7. Autonomous, delivery-focused, comfortable in mission-critical environments

Nice to Have:

1. AI-assisted analysis or specification-driven development
2. Experience with distributed teams
3. Data governance / master data management
4. Experience in Belgian notarial, legal, real-estate or financial domains
5. Domain-driven design familiarity
6. GDPR / NIS2 awareness

Environment & Ways of Working:

1. The duration of the mission is two years starting with the first assignment till the end of the year.
2. Agile/Scrum squads with architects, analysts, tech leads, UX/UI and developers
3. On-site Brussels: several days/week during ramp-up; then minimum 2 fixed days/week
4. Legally regulated, mission-critical notarial domain
5. ±50 bounded-context services (parties, assets, real estate, succession, taxation, legal registers…)
6. English for technical artefacts; Dutch/French for stakeholder engagement
7. Delivery-focused mindset: align with decisions, escalate when needed, commit once agreed
8. Drive specification quality: clarity, testability, compliance alignment
