About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Engineer specializing in road and highway design to join their fully remote team, serving projects originating from Queenstown. This role involves the conceptualization, design, and technical oversight of transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet modern engineering standards. You will utilize advanced design software and collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop geometric layouts for new roads, highways, and interchanges.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and quantity take-offs for road projects.
- Conduct traffic analysis and impact studies to inform design decisions.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant national and provincial road design standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate virtually with stakeholders, including government bodies and construction firms,



throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve design modifications and respond to technical queries from construction teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in road and highway design.
- Proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MXRoads, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO or relevant South African road design standards.
- Experience with traffic engineering principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills.
