Environment: Office-Based / Heavy Maintenance Support
Flights: Provided

Engagement: LTD / Contractor
TARCG is supporting a long-term requirement in Spain for an experienced B1 Licensed Engineer with strong aircraft structures expertise across the Airbus A320 Family and/or Boeing 737.
This is not a traditional hands-on B1 position. The role is purely office/technical based, supporting structural inspection, assessment and engineering activity during C-checks and heavy maintenance.
It would particularly suit an experienced B1 who has developed significant structures knowledge and is looking to utilise that experience in a more technical, inspection and assessment-focused position, moving away from a traditional role on the tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and support detailed structural inspections during C-checks and heavy maintenance inputs.
- Identify structural defects including cracks, corrosion, dents, buckling, elongated fastener holes and fatigue damage.
- Assess structural findings against the applicable SRM (Structural Repair Manual) and approved maintenance data.
- Determine whether damage is within allowable limits or requires repair.
- Raise and document engineering findings and associated work packages.
- Liaise with Structures Mechanics, NDT personnel and Part-21 Design Engineers where repairs or findings exceed SRM limits.
- Provide technical support and clarification throughout structural repair activity.
- Inspect and accept completed structural repairs prior to certification.
- Produce accurate inspection reports, technical records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all structural inspection and assessment activity is completed in accordance with applicable airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- EASA Part-66 B1 Licence.
- A320 Family and/or B737 type experience.
- Strong background in aircraft structures and heavy/base maintenance.
- Extensive working knowledge of the SRM and structural maintenance data.
- Experience identifying and assessing structural defects and determining repair requirements.
- Good understanding of NDT processes and Part-21 repair/design interfaces.
- Previous C-check and/or heavy maintenance experience.
- Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fully office/technical-based position rather than a hands-on maintenance role.
- Must hold the unrestricted right to live and work in the EU.
Package
- Long-term contract in Spain.
- Competitive LTD/company contractor rate, dependent on experience and approvals.
- Flights provided.
- Accommodation provided.
- Long-term project stability.
- Office-based position – no regular hands-on/tooling requirement.
This is a specialist opportunity for a B1 engineer with substantial aircraft structures experience who is looking to move away from a traditional hands-on maintenance environment and focus on the technical, inspection and assessment side of heavy maintenance.
