Senior Data Engineer in the Drug Development Data Platform (3DP) helps advance AstraZeneca’s antibody discovery by delivering scalable, cloud-based data solutions. You’ll work on AWS-based ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and data infrastructure while collaborating with globally distributed teams. The role blends hands-on engineering with stakeholder-facing communication to set expectations and drive delivery. Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and processing
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for system integration
• Support stakeholders with technical data guidance
• Maintain AWS base infrastructure
• Tune SQL queries and pipelines for performance
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency




• Investigate data issues and resolve end-to-end pipeline problems
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry practices
• Maintain and refine a front-end application
Responsabilidades
• Solid development skills in Python, Git, and versioning
• Experience with big data, ETL, cloud tools on AWS (Python, Terraform, Glue, S3, SQS, ECS)
• Automated testing mindset
• Hands-on AWS experience
• DevOps-first with GitHub/GitHub Actions or similar
• SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred) xqbhyrx
• Experience triaging and resolving tickets
• Experience in a globally distributed team
• Ability to document development best practices
• Experience in API design (REST, documentation)
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
• Ability to provide technical guidance within data and analytics teams
• Great interpersonal skills and collaboration
• Some front-end exposure (JavaScript/TypeScript) with focus on data/backend
