Our client is an is an infrastructure and licensed telecommunication operator that delivers Internet and data services across Africa ROLE Subsea Telecoms Cable Engineer is responsible for supporting planning and engineering, installation, protection, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of submarine fibre-optic cable systems. The role covers technical input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and route development through to marine survey, system design, manufacturing support, installation, acceptance and operational readiness. The engineer acts as a technical interface between the project owner, system supplier, marine installation contractor, permitting advisors, landing partners, cable landing station teams, network operators and other stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Marine Survey and Route Engineering Cable Protection and Crossings Procurement and Contractor Management Installation Supervision & Support Testing, Commissioning and Acceptance Operations and Maintenance Interface with Technical Managers Documentation and Reporting
