This role requires 30% of travel
Responsibilities:
- Operations & Supplier Set-up: Lead the end-to-end "Greenfield" setup of our supplier network. This includes identifying, auditing, and onboarding high-precision partners (CNC, casting, molding) and establishing the operational workflows required to move from prototype to mass production.
- Commodity Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for mechanical and machining commodities, ensuring long-term scalability across the Eurozone.
- Startup Agility: Build supply chain processes from the ground up, moving from manual "firefighting" to scalable, automated systems without losing the speed required for rapid prototyping.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations for multi-million Euro frameworks, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lead-time reduction, and payment terms.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing supply chain team.
You will be responsible for defining roles, setting KPIs, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: A University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 7:
- 10 years of progressive experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, specifically within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Management: Proven experience in people management is required. You must have a track record of leading teams through organizational growth or change.
- Commodity Expertise: Deep technical understanding of machining processes, material sciences, and European manufacturing standards.
- Language: Full professional fluency in English is required.
