Job Description Summary:
The International EHS Governance Manager is responsible for assisting in efforts to maintain Compliance, reduce risk and deliver EHS excellence through implementation of a robust and consistent governance program. The role reports to the International EHS Manager.
This role will be responsible for setting the expectations for governance, risk analysis and compliance, driving standardization of the governance program across International and partnering cross functionally to drive sustainable improvement.
Finally, this role will also provide input to and support the wider International EHS team as we work to build one successful EHS International team.
Essential Responsibilities / Critical outcomes this role will drive
Lead efforts to make regulatory determinations for emergent issues and remain current and/or develop necessary understanding of EHS regulations and GE EHS programs specific to assigned priorities and/or job scope.
- Develop and drive strategy to proactively maintain GE and regulatory compliance and/or industry standard across International and be able to develop countermeasures where deviation is identified.
- Partner with other International EHS resources to set the standard for auditor qualification and training expectations and coach team members accordingly.
- Provide EHS leadership for the International Governance program and drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness of the compliance assurance program through auditing, data validation and support “ Session E” reviews.
- Analysis of findings, trends, and metrics for statistical trends, and assist in development of action plans to drive program improvements.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to International team to build and implement robust compliance / governance processes, audit skills and hazard recognition.
