At ?SATEC?, we are looking to appoint a Space & Defence Commercial Director, a strategic and high-impact position that will lead the development and growth of our Space and Defence business globally.
SATEC is a technology group with over 1,500 people, born from a communications core and expanded over the years into a broad set of technological capabilities including networking, cloud, cybersecurity, software development, and data & AI across multiple sectors. Space and Defence is one of them, and we are now sharpening our focus on it through a dedicated commercial structure, with its own strategy, active pipeline, and P&L; accountability to unlock the full potential of SATEC's capabilities in this market.
The Space & Defence Commercial Director operates with real autonomy to define market strategy, develop relationships, and turn SATEC's technical capabilities and expertise into competitive value propositions that materialise into new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy: define the go-to-market strategy for Space & Defence (target clients, positioning,
and value propositions), articulating how SATEC's capabilities connect with market needs and working closely with technical directors.
- Business Development and P&L; ownership: identify and develop commercial opportunities with Space & Defence clients globally and manage the full commercial cycle with its own P&L.;
- Stakeholder Engagement: build and maintain trusted relationships with key actors in the Space & Defence ecosystem. Engage directly with decision-makers to understand emerging priorities.
- Strategic Insight: monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and institutional priorities to continuously sharpen the segment's strategy and anticipate market shifts.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in the Space and Defence sector, including complex, long-cycle commercial processes.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace, or a related technical field.
