Duties:
- Instruct English, Social Studies, Health, and Physical Education in a Secondary classroom setting.
- Establish classroom routines consistent with a healthy learning environment.
- Communicate clear expectations for student success and behavior.
- Motivate students to meet or exceed grade-level standards.
- Create a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship.

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.

Qualifications:
This is a Full-Time Mixed Teacher (Secondary English/Social Studies/Health/Physical Education) at Rota Middle High School. This recruitment is for SY 23/24. This position is full-time seasonal (80 hours per pay period).

Minimum Education Requirement:
- A major in English or a minimum of 30 semester hours in English. A maximum of 5 semester hours in speech and/or journalism may be counted toward meeting this requirement. Course work must include English literature, American literature, the teaching of composition (writing process), and a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper-level English courses.
