Introduction: An opportunity for a Harness / Electrical & Electronics Manufacturing Engineer – Spacecraft AIT has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). Brief description of the department’s mission: The selected candidate will join the Technological Areas Team, supporting a specific set of Space projects. The purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is to deliver an end-to-end, time- and cost-optimized harness manufacturing and integration process that meets project requirements while complying with Airbus business standards, practices and procedures. As a key role at Project level, the Manufacturing Engineer participates in product definition, manufacturing process definition and integration technology selection, ensuring that time, cost and quality requirements are achieved. This includes applying principles such as modularization, standardization, LEAN, shared integrated systems, accessibility, industrial viability, eco-efficiency and ergonomics.
RESPONSIBILITIES




Define and optimize the manufacturing and integration process for electrical harness activities, including build process, work sequence, process flow, lead times, critical paths, skills mapping, resources, industrial means and production constraints, in accordance with Airbus operational standards. Concur with Engineering during the development phase to ensure that design solutions are feasible and compatible with the industrial system, contributing to the definition of the as-planned structure together with Engineering and the Mechanical Design Office. Prepare and maintain the Manufacturing Dossier and work preparation documentation, including Manufacturing Procedures, Work Orders, Manufacturing Bill of Material, work instructions, data collection documents, electrical test documentation, Material & Processes Selection Lists and Standard Selection Lists.
