HVAC Service Technician

North & West Melbourne | Up to $60/hr | Vehicle | Monthly RDOs | Double-time OT

Live in Melbourne’s north or west and sick of spending half your life driving across town?

A well-established mechanical services contractor has just secured a major statewide maintenance contract and is adding several experienced HVAC Service Technicians to its Victorian team.

The important bits first:
- Up to $60 per hour, depending on experience.
- 38-hour week.
- Monthly accrued RDOs (adaptable not rostered)
- Optional overtime, paid at double time.
- Fully maintained company vehicle (personal use permitted)
- On-call around one week in eight (scheduled 12 months in advance)
- $200 standby allowance.
- Four-hour minimum payment for call-outs.

Most of the work will be commercial service and maintenance across the northern and western suburbs, including preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and repairs.

You’ll work across equipment including packaged units, ducted systems, VRF/VRV, chillers and associated mechanical services.





You don’t need to have worked on every piece of kit under the sun, but you do need strong commercial HVAC service and fault-finding experience.

You’ll need:
- Relevant Cert III trade qualification.
- Current ARC licence.
- Current electrical disconnect/reconnect licence.
- Strong diagnostic skills.
- The confidence to work independently and deal directly with customers.

Refrigeration experience is useful, but not essential if your commercial HVAC background is strong. They are happy to train and arm you with more skills.

There’s also room here for experienced techs who naturally help others and become the person the team rings when something odd turns up on site.
