As theStructuralProjectEngineerIIIyou willbe responsible fordeveloping applications that will analyze andoptimizesolar mounting systems using advanced Excel tools and programming languages. This role requires extensive collaboration with other Array Technologies teams and engineering contractors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.Working in both technical lead and project management capacities on the assigned automation programs, primarily related tostructural engineering processes.
Responsible for the technical execution of assigned projects, ensuring engineering deliverables are completed according to project schedules, quality standards and customer requirements. Additionally, supports pre-sales, contracting and execution phases of projects.
Design, analyze, andoptimizesolar mounting systems for assigned projects(metallicstructures)
Apply international building codes, standards, and engineering principles to analyze and design tracker structures, connections, and components using analytical tool based and computational based methods
Develop andmaintainadvanced Excel tools and macros tofacilitatesolar mounting system design, analysis, and product configuration
Utilize programming languages such as VBA, Python, or MATLAB to enhance the functionality of Excel tools, macros, and in-house software platforms
Act as customer's primary technical consultantduring the project phase.Provide technical support to the customer on design, drawings, loads calculation, and product related discussions
Act as the internal technical leader for the assigned projects.Participate in project meetings, provide technical input, and estimate timelines and levels of effort asrequired




Define and analyze tests to characterize the terrain
Draft and check all drafting work for projects using AutoCAD,Civil3D,or Solid Works
Develop and review project specifications, calculations, and drawings
Work with internal stakeholders to produce automated engineering report and drawing templates
Create a detailed tracker structure design report, and work with Professional Engineers/firms to certify the calculations and drawings of every project
Create bills of material for each project
Collaborate with various Array Technologies engineering teams, engineering contractors, IT, PMO and other stakeholders as needed to meet product roadmap requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish skills
Bachelor's degree inindustrial,civil,structuralorgeotechnicalengineering
~+3years’ experiencein project engineering/management
~+5years’ experience in Engineering
~ Master’s degree preferred
~ Experience in structural calculationTRICALC, CYPE (Metal 3D), ANSYS-CIVILFEM, CONSTELL
~ Proficient in Excel macros and programming languages such as VBA, Python, or MATLAB, Python highly preferred
~ Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD tools
~ Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to solar mounting systems

Experience in the solar industry or wind industry
~1-year Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience to model structure, analysis, and design in software such as SAP2000, STAAD or equivalent others
~ Knowledge of SolidWorks
~ QGis, Civil 3D,ArcGISor similar suite experience
