Our client, a integral Tier 1 professional services firm and a recognized leader in business consulting, has engaged us to recruit a Director / Practice Lead for Financial Risk . This is a pivotal leadership role within their Finance, Risk & Compliance (FRC) practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and expanding the Financial Risk practice , leading high-impact engagements, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives across top-tier financial institutions—with a particular strategic focus on Tier 1 Spanish Banks worldwide.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an executive with strategic vision, deep technical expertise in financial risk, strong commercial acumen, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the strategy for the Financial Risk practice.
- Develop differentiated service lines and innovative value propositions.
- Promote technical, methodological, and technological excellence within the risk function.

Client Relationship Management




- Act as the senior point of contact for Banco Santander, driving the relationship and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Strengthen the firm’s presence across other major banks in Spain.

Project & Delivery Leadership
- Lead and oversee high-impact financial risk engagements, with a focus on:
- Credit Risk : lifecycle (origination, monitoring, recovery), IRB/IFRS 9 models, credit parameter estimation.
- Regulatory and Economic Capital
- Cross-risk frameworks : risk appetite, stress testing, ICAAP, governance.
- Ensure excellence in project delivery, stakeholder management, and quality assurance.
- Desirable: experience or familiarity with enablers such as generative AI, machine learning, model risk management (MRM), automation, data governance, or cloud analytics.

Business Development
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across existing and new clients.
- Lead end-to-end commercial processes, including needs
