In ARQUIMEA SPACE

spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers . We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide
high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems . Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to
integrate satellites and constellations .
We are looking for a
Telecommunications Network Engineer with the mission of acting as the key expert in
space-based telecommunication networks
within the company,
leading
the
definition
and
implementation
of
satellite network solutions
across various projects, including a satellite constellation.
Tasks to be performed:
Satellite Network Design & Implementation :
Develop
and
configure
satellite communication networks ( architecture ,
topology
and
definition ) and management ( control ).
Sizing
of
telecommunication channels
for a whole network.
Telecommunications Network protocols expert . Understanding of satellite communication protocols ( DVB-S2, DVB-RCS, TDMA, SCPC ,…).
Link Budget Analysis & Optimization : Perform link budget calculations to optimize signal quality, bandwidth efficiency, and power allocation
Ground Station equipment : Knowledge in satellite ground station equipment, including modems, antennas, RF systems, and baseband units.
Network Security & Compliance : Implement encryption, authentication, and regulatory standards (e.g., ITU, FCC) to ensure secure satellite communications.
Traffic Management & QoS : Monitor and manage satellite bandwidth allocation, implementing QoS policies to optimize performance.
Required skills, experience and candidate profile:
Degree
in Telecommunications Engineer , or similar engineering brand.
Master´s Degree
is a plus,preferred specialisation in
Telecom systems
and
networks , with focus on
Satellite Communications .
Minimum
experience
of
5 years
in asimilar experiencewith
satellite terminals, antennas, and RF subsystems.
Experience
in
network simulations.
Use of modelling languages: UML, SysML,…
Hand-on experience
in
implementing
and
configuring satcom networks.
Knowledge
of
switching
and
core-network protocol
Knowledge
of
satellite operations
and
protocols .
Knowledge
of
satellite link budgeting
and
propagation models .
Knowledge
in
Telecommunication
regulatory compliance
&
standards.
The position is
located in
our Headquarters of
Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
